Managing Partner, Haskell & White

Helen Adams is the San Diego Area Managing Partner. She oversees the firm’s San Diego practice, coordinating the direction of San Diego client services. Her financial services and advisory experience includes private and publicly held companies in the technology, life science, clean-technology and alternative energy and real estate industries.
Prior to joining Haskell & White in 2013, Helen served as an audit partner with Deloitte, where she provided assurance and advisory services involving initial and secondary offerings, M&A transactions and expert testimony, and establishing financial controls and corporate strategy for her clients.
Helen has served the clean technology and alternative energy industry for over 15 years, including a 9 month period as a loaned C-level finance executive. She is a recognized industry expert in the field, and has consulted with US and international companies preparing for IPOs or significant acquisitions/divestitures.  She is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer at local colleges and universities.
An active member of the San Diego community, Helen has served as the audit committee chair and member of the compensation committee for San Diego based public company LRAD Corporation. She has also served as chairman of the board of Athena San Diego, as chairman of Deloitte’s San Diego FAST 50 Program, and has worked with other local organizations such as Make A Wish, The Senior Community Centers, Chairmen’s Roundtable, Software San Diego, LEAD, Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, and the YWCA of San Diego. She is currently the Audit Committee chair and a member of the California State University San Marcos Foundation Board, serves on the membership committee of the Corporate Directors’ Forum, the Athena Scholarship Foundation Board, Women of Wind Energy, and is co-chair for 2015/2016 of the San Diego chapter of Women Corporate Directors.  She is an ongoing mentor for Athena’s Forum for Executive Women (peer mentoring) groups.
Helen has a BS in Accounting (Magna Cum Laude, with distinction in her major) from San Diego State University.  She is a recipient of the 2014 Women Who Mean Business award.
